Alcohol can prevent pregnancy
Regular consumption of alcohol is taboo during pregnancy. But even before that, women who want to have children should avoid alcohol, because otherwise it becomes increasingly difficult for the wish to ever come true.
Especially alcohol consumption in the second half of the cycle seems to be unfavourable and can prevent a pregnancy, according to a study published in the journal Human Reproduction, one of the world’s leading journals in the field of reproductive medicine (1).
Researchers around Dr. Kira Taylor, professor of epidemiology and public health at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, USA) had examined the data of 413 women from the Mount Sinai Study of Women Office Workers for possible connections between alcohol consumption and the probability of becoming pregnant.
